LinkGoesTo is designed to be a privacy-first tool. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
When you enter a URL for analysis, that URL is processed by our servers and third-party security APIs. To help the community identify trending threats, scanned URLs may be displayed in our "Live Scans" marquee and history grid. If you have privacy concerns about a specific URL, please do not scan it using our public tool.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. GA4 uses cookies to collect information and report site usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors to Google. In compliance with European regulations, these cookies are disabled by default and only activated if you provide explicit consent via our consent manager.
Additionally, we use your browser's local storage to save your individual scan history and your consent preferences. This data remains on your device and is not synchronized to our servers.
We use external APIs (including Google Safe Browsing and VirusTotal) to provide security insights. These services may receive the URLs you scan to provide their analysis. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for more information.
We implement industry-standard measures to protect our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
